Israel: Colder Temperatures & Rain Arriving Towards The Week’s End


The unseasonably warm days experienced throughout Israel since Shabbos are coming to an end as temperatures are expected to drop on Thursday, and continuing to drop erev Shabbos and Shabbos along with predictions of showers and thundershowers in Yerushalayim and other areas.

On Thursday, local showers will fall, accompanied by several thunderstorms in the north and along the coastal plain. In other areas local rain is expected, mostly light, and temperatures will drop. In the southern and eastern nachals there is a slight fear of flooding.

On Shabbos the rain will continue and will sometimes be accompanied by thunderstorms, and the fear of flooding continues. In the evening, the precipitation is expected to diminish. Temperatures will remain unseasonably low.

The expected temperatures for Wednesday night and Thursday are:
• Jerusalem from 21C (70F) degrees today to 12 (53.6F) degrees tonight,
• Tel Aviv from 23 (73.4F) to 16 (60.8F),
• Haifa from 22 (71.6F) to 15 (59F),
• Tzefas from 17 (62.6) to 12 (53.6),
• Katzrin from 22 to 12,
• Tiveria from 26 (78.8) to 16,
• Nazareth from 21 to 15,
• Afula from 25 to 12,
• Beit Shean from 26 to 15,
• Lod from 24 to 16, in Ashdod from 22 to 17,
• Ein Gedi from 27 (80.6) to 21,
• Mitzpei Ramon from 21 to 12
• Eilat from 29 (84.2) to 17
