Jerusalem: Young Girl Detects Intruder Inside Her Family’s Home


According to a Jerusalem police report, an alert 12-year-old girl led to the apprehension of a burglar on Rashi Street in the capital.

The girl told her parents there was a stranger in their home, which led to an immediate police response and the apprehension of the burglar, who had stolen items in his possession as the time of his arrest.

It appears the burglar made other stops in the area before entering the home of the 12-year-old. It appears the man entered the homes under the guise of having to repair water faucets.

The suspect, a 47-year-old resident of Maale Adumim, was apprehended in one of the adjacent buildings, and among the stolen goods was a laptop. He was questioned by police and was going to be arraigned in the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court.

Police attribute the alertness of the girl and the actions of her parents with the apprehension of the thief.
