Israel: Another Terrorist Gains freedom by Hunger Striking


papConvicted Arab terrorist Samer Issawi, 32, is going to be released by Israel after continuing a hunger strike for over eight months. He is going to be granted early release Channel 2 News report for Israel fears if he dies in prison it will spark a wave of violence. Issawi is one of the terrorists released in the Gilad Shalit deal. He was re-arrested in the summer of 2013 for violating the terms of his release, leaving the eastern capital and entering PA (Palestinian Authority) autonomous areas.

Prior to the Shalit deal, he was serving a 26-year prison term for his acts of. After his re-arrest it was decided he would complete his original sentence, remaining in jail until 2029. At present, it appears he will serve eight additional months for violating the terms of his release in the Shalit deal and he will then be a free man. He has agreed to end his hunger strike upon learning of the early release. He is currently in custody in Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot.
