On Tuesday, testing took place towards certifying the new heliport at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, which included the use of air force helicopters.

The new heliport will service military choppers and rescue teams in times of emergency.

The new heliport, which is located atop of one of the hospital’s main buildings, permits direct transport from a chopper to the hospital’s trauma unit below and from there, directly to a surgical suite or intensive care unit.
