Police in Ashdod are investigating a break-in into a shul which was discovered by mispallalim on Tuesday morning. When the mispallalim arrived, they were shocked to find tefilin and tzedaka boxes had been stolen in the break-in.

Police officials met with the gabbai, who told them that a number of tzedaka boxes had been taken, as well as tefilin and that there was “other damage”. The police report does not specify.
