Rav Fendel Backs United Right-Wing, Questioning How A Religious Voters Can Back Feiglin’s Party

Rosh Yeshivat Hesder Sderot, Rabbi David Fendel, calls on his talmidim to vote for the United Right-Wing list in the upcoming election for 21st Knesset, questioning how any religious Jew can vote for Moshe Feiglin and his Zehut party.

Rabbi Fendel praised the fact the party is headed by Rabbi Rafi Peretz, adding, “It is not just important to vote for them, but it is more important to act and influence and flood the country with a fresh and youthful spirit of Zionism according to the Torah of Israel in Greater Israel.”

Rav Fendel continued, addressing those voting for the Zehut party headed by Moshe Feiglin. “I was amazed to hear that there are Bnei Torah, yeshiva graduates who are thinking of voting for Feiglin. How puzzling to support accessible drugs that can hurt the minds of youth and open a door to heavy drugs. How alien to religious Zionism are ideas like separation of religion and state when all religious Zionism is based on this special connection. Why steal from the state the right to be the greatest Torah builder in history? Why bring in unexpected partners who can connect to the left? ”
