Women R”L Killed By a Cement Mixer in Rishon L’Tzion

A 70-year-old pedestrian was killed after an accident occurred on David Sakharov Street in Rishon L’Tzion on Sunday.

United Hatzalah volunteer Menachem Amsili who was one of the first responders at the scene said: “I received the emergency alert from United Hatzalah’s Dispatch and Command Center and rushed out of work to the scene of the accident. I arrived at the scene in a matter of seconds and began performing CPR on the injured woman. I was joined by other volunteers from United Hatzalah and we continued CPR until a mobile intensive care ambulance arrived.

“Unfortunately, at the end of our efforts, and with great sadness, paramedics at the scene were forced to pronounce the woman’s death due to the severity of the injuries that she suffered.”

MDA Advanced EMT Doron Salimi explains that they tried stopping the extensive bleeding as CPR was performed, but ultimately, MDA paramedics had to pronounce her dead. MDA reports the woman was about 80-years-old.

  1. BDE – YWN please proof read your own posts more carefully. One woman was r”l killed, not women, i.e. more than one. Also the first paragraph says “A 70-year-old pedestrian” and the last says “MDA reports the woman was about 80-years-old.”. Unfortunately neither of these slips makes any difference to the lady killed or her family’s loss but it makes readers wonder how accurate other things on YWN are.
