Worker Seriously Injured in Accident at Eurovision Song Contest Complex in Israel


A 66-year-old Pardes Chana man who was working on the Eurovision Song Contest site at the Expo Complex in Tel Aviv sustained serious injury on Monday morning when a lighting equipment wagon fell onto him. He was transported to Ichilov Hospital, with MDA reporting his condition as “moderate”.

An updated report from Ichilov Hospital emergency room stated that the man’s condition deteriorated, and he is listed in serious condition.

The man was treated initially by a doctor from Ichilov who is stationed in the medical station operating at the complex during the song competition. He was then transported by paramedics and treated in the hospital’s trauma unit. After his condition was evaluated, he was taken for immediate emergency neurosurgery.
