Police in Tiveria Prepared for the Yahrzeit of Rav Meir Bal Haness


Sunday is the yahrzeit of Rav Mair Baal Haness, and thousands are expected to make their way to the tziyun located in Tiveria. There will be a special procession in the city connected to the yahrzeit as well.

To ensure the safety of the procession participants, the following roads will be closed:

HaBanim Street (opposite MDA) until the end of HaGalil Street (Kikar) 17:30 until the end of the procession The section of the road will open as the procession progresses.

Route 90 from Galei Kinnereth to Shikim Beach will be blocked from both directions from 17:30 until the end of the event.

Shuttles free of charge will leave from the parking lots at Shikim Beach and the Guy Beach to the tziyun site and back during all hours of the event.

Alternative routes:
Direction of the Jordan Valley – via Fourier Junction, Route 768, Alumot Junction, Kinneret Junction – Jordan Valley, Road 767.

Towards Tiveria – via Kinneret Junction, Alumot Junction, Road 767, Poriya Junction – Tiveria, Road 768.

The Israel Police will be out in large numbers towards maintaining the safety and security of the participants in the procession and the celebration and will direct drivers towards alternative routes.

It is recommended that drivers use Waze, which is updated according to the progress of the runners and the police information center, 110.
