PHOTOS: United Hatzalah Holds A Final Preparedness Exercise In Meron Ahead Of Lag B’Omer

Lag B’Omer is only hours away and one of the emergency medical service providers in Meron will be United Hatzalah (UH), as in past years.

On Tuesday, the EMS organization participated in a final preparatory exercise to hone the skills of its members, who volunteer to remain ‘on-call’ in Meron during the Lag B’Omer weekend, when up to 500,000 mispallalim are expected to visit the northern city to be mispallel at the tziyun of the Rashbi ZT”L.

Members of UH Galil district participated in the exercise during which tens of simulated injured were transported from the scene with the participation and assistance of police.

UH members will be manning a front-line clinic staffed with a doctor, paramedics and EMTS, as well as ambulance, motorcycles, 4-wheel-drive and other specialty vehicles. With a physician in the clinic, many evacuations to a hospital are avoided since they can receive higher level treatment at the site.
