Bedouin Soldiers Attacked Chareidi Soldiers In An IDF Mess Hall


A most serious incident occurred last Tuesday in a mess hall on an IDF based in southern Israel – Chareidi soldiers were physically attacked by Bedouin soldiers in front of officers. According to reports from the soldier, knives, forks and chairs were hurled at them – military police have launched an investigation.

KAN11 News military correspondent Roi Sharon reports that the violent incident occurred in a southern military base as commanders looked on. It appears, in recent days, they complained to their commanders that the Bedouin soldiers have been teasing and taunting them.

According to the report, two soldiers were transported to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Parents of the chareidi soldiers spoke with Sharon, stating, “We didn’t send our children to the IDF to be targeted in an intifada in the base. We call on the officers to deal harshly with those responsible”.

The IDF Spokesman’s Office reports that military police are investigating, and they will submit their findings to the military prosecutor.
