Police Summon Admor Who Stated Bystanders Should’ve Intervened When Police Beat Autistic Chareidi Teen

The Admor of Berdichev Shlita, Rav Aharon Baumel, has been summoned by Israel Police for questioning at 9:00AM Sunday morning.

The rebbe was called into police in response to his words, questioning why no witness to the brutal attack by police against a chareidi teen with special needs did not intervene on his behalf.

As seen in that video, the youth was beaten without mercy and bloodied after being smashed face-down into the concrete sidewalk.

As reported by YWN-Israel, the teen was accused of pushing a female plainclothes policewoman, which has since been proven by video footage to be 100% false.

Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman spoke with the parents of the victim, telling them that he will not permit this incident to be forgotten and he promised them the responsible persons will face the full weight of the law, condemning the unnecessary violence used against the unarmed autistic youth by border police.

  1. Why all the emphasis on the fact that this particular victim is an autistic child? Is it OK for the Israel police to beat up anyone else? Those who suggest Israel is a democratic civilized nation have their answer here. It is a police state that condones beatings of its citizens. This victim happens to be autistic. The next victim may be your son/cousin/neighbor who just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

  2. This Rabbi means to say that everyone should have been yelling at the police and telling them that this boy is autistic. Instead of just watching or filming, open your mouth and talk to the police.

  3. Destro613- your comment is too sensible and normal . Common sense and decency need not apply in these matters .
Why shouldn’t he participate in night activity taunting fellow Jewish officers who routinely save their hides?

  4. destro613. get the story man, it WASNT A PROTEST. it was an event that was being stopped by the police (fairly enough, before the violence), very different.

  5. in the normal course of events, anyone calling for someone to interfere with police should be questioned and if verified face severe consequences. that is not how police should be treated; if they were wrong, they will be held accountable, as it appears they might be in this case. this rebbele accomplished nothing and should learn a lesson.

  6. Where does the video show the interaction between this bochur and the police officer?? The video seems to show him being restrained AFTER the event but not the interaction (if there was any)?

  7. This is the same Litzman who’s protecting a female pedophile from Australia? It’s too bad the law hasn’t come after him.

Lucky for you freedom of speech also applies to idiots.
This took place right outside of the home
    This autistic fellow lives in.
Also, he pushed an UNDERCOVER police woman wearing CIVILIAN clothing.
For that he deserves to get beaten up?
Time for the charaidem in Israel to carry and defend themselves against animals in uniform.

I watched all the videos posted on YWN and I didn’t see any such thing.
