The Satmar Rebbe of Williamsburg, Rav Zalman Teitelbaum Shlita, will be making a trip to Eretz Yisrael in a half year, in Cheshvan 5780. This message was released during Lag B’Omer.
The Rebbe will be making a trip which includes visiting all mosdos in Eretz Yisrael that are affiliated with Satmar. The announcement was made to thousands of chassidim who participated in the Rebbe’s tisch on Lag B’Omer.
The Rebbe also discussed fundraising effort for the mosdos affiliated with the chassidus’ Yitav Lev organization and the Taharos Kodesh program, mosdos which no longer accept any funding from the Zionist state.
This will be the first major trip to Eretz Yisroel for the Rebbe in 6 years. On his last trip, covered extensively by YWN, the Rebbe met with dozens of Rabbonim, Admorim, Roshei Yeshiva, and leading Gedolim. Most notable was the Rebbes visit to the Gadol HaDor, Hagon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita. The Rebbe spent more than 20 minutes at the home of Rav Kanievsky, where he was warmly welcomed into the home.

for the live of me ,will never understand why the government would let in a vicious Israel hater,who does untold damage to our one and only God given homeland,this hater has an organization called “NETRUNA” (nothing to do with Neturai Karta) where they spend millions of dollars on print and radio media disseminating the worst kind of anti-Israel propaganda, and literally telling the word and repeating the Arab lies that Jews have no right to Eretz Yisroel.
It’s a huge zchus to see various Gedolei Yisroel meeting with another Godol HaDor.

Some of you make it sound as if Satmar were in the same vile category as the NK. Clearly, they are not supportive of the medinah but some of their mosdos in EY do good work. One can always hope that by visiting EY, R’ Zalman will have an epiphany and do political tshuvah and embrace the reality of EY as it exists today and its existential role for yidden around the world.
To anyone bashing Satmar… Satmar Chasidim are the most generous people on the planet (and not just to other chasidim). Without them some of our biggest chesed organizations would not be around.
I’ve spent time in many different places and have seen & experienced their abundance of chesed.
I am as far from being a chossid as you can get, but can identify something special when I see it.
