Arab Arrested at the Knesset Carrying a Paper “The Path of Shahids”

An Arab who came to the Knesset building and began to search for Prime Minister Netanyahu, was arrested on suspicion of planning to assassinate him – after having found a caption that speaks of “The path of Shahids”.

An Arab man arrived at the Knesset roadblock in a taxi, got off and started walking towards the building. One of the security guards asked him about his arrival and his answer was: “I want the prime minister.”

At this stage, according to an official Knesset statement, the security guard asked him to present identification. The young man then tried to retrace his steps and leave but was prevented from doing so.

As a result, the duty officer of the Knesset was summoned, and the Arab was detained until the matter was clarified. During the examination of his identity card, a page with an Arabic inscription was found that speaks of “the path of the shahids” alongside “the path to Gan Eden”.

The suspect was detained until police arrived and he was taken for further investigation and interrogation.
