Jerusalem Court Distances Frum Women From Outside The Jerusalem Induction Center

Five chareidi protestors were arrested/detained by police outside the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday morning. The court session surrounding the arrests and detention of three women protestors outside the Jerusalem IDF Induction Center on Rashi Street earlier this week was taking place at the time of the protest.

The court issued an order against the three who were arrested outside the IDF’s Jerusalem Induction Center, prohibiting them from coming within 200 meters of the induction center for the next three months in order to prevent them from addressing females heading to report to the draft center.

The women arrested this week are part of the ‘Merkaz Hatzalah’ organization, which has women stationed outside induction centers to speak to other females before they head into the building and sign to enter the military, hoping to talk them out of being recruited.

  1. Is it a crime to talk to women heading to the induction center? If they aren’t intimidating or physically threatening anyone, then what legal problem is there in talking?

  2. Under Israeli deMockracy, you are free to say whatever the Government allows you to say. Parading naked or nearly naked in public and advocating perversion is free speech and does not disturb the public. Telling brainwashed girls that they should not join the army is forbidden and disturbs public order. See clearly the true face of the State of Israel. I hope that through the peaceful process of elections we can change this because if not Gog and Mogog will have to come and change it.

  3. What double standard. I can assure you that INSIDE , frum girls who announce that they are religious and therefore not able to serve in the army are given a hard time, There is much pressure put upon them to serve to the point of embarrasing them. Most self declared non religious male soldiers have told me that they would advise their daughters NOT to serve. The treatment and environment that female soldiers have to endure is wrong and noone would want their daughter exposed to that.

  4. What did these women do that made such a court order even reasonable? And what is the position of the court when it comes to distancing leftists who harass border police at border crossings?
