More than seven fire units were working multiple blazes in the Lifta area of the Jerusalem corridor. There was a serious concern that due to the current condition, the fire may continue moving towards the entrance to Jerusalem.

The firefighting teams from the Jerusalem stations were assisted by water supply vehicles, and firefighting planes.

Their tremendous firefighting efforts paid off and thankfully crews stopped the fire and brought it under control.
