WATCH THIS: Violent Assaults Against Staff Members At Haifa And Jerusalem Hospitals

There are yet again additional cases of violence against hospital staff members in Israel, this time in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital and Bnei Zion Hospital in Haifa.

This latest attack occurred on Sunday, in an intensive care unit at Hadassah, when one of the nurses on shift was victimized by violence from a family member of a patient.

The hospital administration condemns the attack against a member of the staff, which works tirelessly to benefit the patient, emphasizing nothing justifies an assault against a staff member in the hospital.

Another incident occurred at the Bnei Zion Hospital in Haifa. The hospital released footage of the attack, which is published below. The man was arrested.

Attacks against hospital personnel by family members are on the rise in Israel. This is one of the grievances of the nation’s social workers, who last week took to the streets once again, demanding security for their professionals, who too often come under attack by patients and family members around Israel.

  1. These kinds of attacks should not occur in the intensive care unit of hospital in a government with socialized medical care. They belong in the billing departments of US hospitals, where a sore throat costs $3500.00.

Actually, I’m not really in favor of assaulting the hospital’s billing personnel. But maybe some political action is needed to lower the cost of health care in the US.

  2. so sad.
just came back two hours ago from Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
my son was recieved with such warmth and care. the medical care was excellent we were in and out of the ER so quickly and efficiantly. the staff gives beautiful care to Jews and arabs alike.
the hospitals are packed with Arabs and chaval that they dont know how to behave.

  3. Not all the staff are equally good. I have seen appalling service at certain hospitals here, staff will simply not respond to respectful questions nor give you the time of day. People see a loved one get sicker and experience staff neglect and draw a line between the two. The article states “The hospital administration condemns the attack against a member of the staff, which works tirelessly to benefit the patient, emphasizing nothing justifies an assault against a staff member in the hospital.”

    Its not true….
