Tzefas Police Prepared For The 32nd Klei Zemer Festival

Israel Police in Tzefas completed preparations for the 32nd Klei Zemer Festival in the city, which will be hosted from Monday to Wednesday, August 12th to 14th. Dozens of police and border police are involved in the detail to maintain order during the festival, including volunteer units. Police expect tens of thousands of persons to visit the city to take part in the annual festival.

Beginning at 4:00PM on Monday, only city residents will be permitted to enter the city with a vehicle, after presenting an identity card showing a Tzefas address. Beginning on Sunday night, parking restrictions that will apply during the festival went into effect as well. There will be paid park and ride areas available from 6:30PM during the festival, one being the Nof Kinneret parking area.

Police are also enforcing a ‘no fly zone’ for drones in the area over the city during the festival. Persons wishing to enter carrying a pistol or soldiers will have to show their identity card and gun license and/or IDF identity. Disabled drivers with a valid disability ID will be permitted to drive until the shuk parking lot and leave a vehicle there.

Police strongly recommend that persons use public transportation and not private vehicles due to the volume of traffic and delays because of the festival. Anyone with questions may call the Israel Police real-time traffic line at 110.
