Rishon L’Tzion Takes Part In An Azkarah For His Mother In London

Rishon L’Tzion HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Yosef Shlita participated in an Azkarah for his mother A”H in England on Tuesday morning, marking 25 years since her petira. The Azkarah was held in Beit Knesset Heichal Leah in London.

Rav Yosef traveled to England to give shiurim and chizuk to the Jewish community, and prior to leaving, he visited the Sanhedria Cemetery in Yerushalayim, where his mother is buried. The Rishon L’Tzion is expected to return to Eretz Yisrael next week, and this coming motzei Shabbos, his weekly shiur in the Yazdim Shul will be given by HaGaon Rav Yitzchak Levi, the rav of the city of Nesher.

During his weekly shiur, Rav Yosef made mention of his late mother A”H, stating, “This week marks 25 years since her petira A”H, and certainly, there is great merit that her sons are ‘marbitz Torah’ and certainly, this brings great nachas to the Rabbanit. We were in Telshe Stone for Shabbos and there were many drashos and shiurim. They lifted her great neshama. These are the merits in Shomayim, that the sons spread Torah. She and her lot should be praised”.
