A chareidi man in his 50’s and his young son went on a hike on Monday, which was accompanied by unseasonably hot and dry temperatures. The dad suffered from heat stroke and was listed in serious condition at the time of transport to a hospital on Monday evening. His 11-year-old son was the one who called for an ambulance.
Magen David Adom reports that the call was received in the Jordan Valley district at about 6:30PM for an unconscious man in Nachal Amud Reserve. After paramedics and EMTs treated the man, who was indeed unconscious when they arrived, he was loaded on a chopper and transported to a hospital in serious condition.
Paramedics report the son, 11, was conscious and alert and next to his father when they arrived on the scene.
