3 Million NIS Stipend Being Given To Restaurants in Gaza Periphery

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon and Interior Minister Aryeh Deri decided upon a plan to give 3 million shekels to restaurants in the Gaza periphery as a stipend in order to help them stay open. The money is being divided up amongst the businesses in the area around Gaza including the city of Sderot that work in the industry.

The decision came as a culmination of the efforts of the three to ratify a financial package for business owners in the beleaguered region. The initiative is meant to aid the resiliency of businesses in the region that has been hit hard over the past year by Hamas rocket attacks. Each business owner is expected to get tens of thousands of shekels to assist in maintaining their businesses and keeping them open.
