Motzei Shabbos News Round-Up From Israel


A 45-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot on Chai Landau Street in Beer Sheva on Motzei Shabbos. United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Eliah Yitzchak Tubul who was one of the first responders at the scene said: “We treated the injured man at the scene. He was in critical condition after he was shot in his upper body. After receiving the initial treatment he was transported by an intensive care ambulance to Soroka hospital for further care and treatment.”

IDF soldiers from the paratroopers brigade together with officers from the border police stormed a wedding in Hebron on Shabbos in the Jabal Juhar neighborhood after receiving a report of gunfire coming from the neighborhood. The gunfire was identified by IDF lookouts who alerted the combat forces to the exact location of the shooting. The soldiers arrived and found an Arab wedding under way. They began searches and found pieces of smuggled rifles enough to make up two semi-automatic weapons as well as a large cache of ammunition. The father of the groom was taken in for questioning.

Terrorists from the Gaza Strip fired five rockets at Israel on Friday. The rockets fell in open spaces for the most part. One fll near a house in Sderot and  caused a fire. The IDF responded by firing on numerous targets in the Strip using both planes and tanks.

Gaza terrorists also launched a drone attack against Israel. The drone was carrying an explosive device and was sent towards IDF troops patrolling the border. No injuries were reported but the device exploded and caused damage to a military jeep. In response, IAF planes attacked a number of terror targets in the strip.

A 30-year-old man was seriously injured after he fell off of his electric bicycle on Allenby Street in Tel Aviv. He was treated by EMS team from United Hatzalah and MDA.

In a separate incident, a 30-year-old man was seriously injured during an act of violence in which he was stabbed on HaHaganah Street in Tel Aviv. Another man was lightly injured in the incident. Both received medical treatment at the scene and were taken to hospital.
