Right-Wing Wages War Against PM Netanyahu Ahead Of Election Day

Yemina has released a new video to remind voters of the left-wing history of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who the right alleges portrays himself as a member of the right-wing camp. This begins with his voting for the expulsion of communities from Gush Katif, the deal with Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian vision of establishing a state.

Yemina officials insist that PM Netanyahu has not learned from his past mistakes, and after Netanyahu called on voters to vote Likud, not Yemina, the party is calling on its constituents not to be fooled by the prime minister, who Yemina insists is not really right-wing as he would have voters believe is the case, releasing the video which the party hopes will serve as a painful reminder of reality.

The party explains it will recommend that Netanyahu form the next coalition government, but without a strong Yemina party to keep him in line, the right-wing will be in trouble.

Yemina leader Ayelet Shaked has been explaining to voters that “Netanyahu wants Yemina to remain small and weak, but we don’t intend to be run over by the wheels of Netanyahu’s truck”.

Yemina warns regarding America’s Deal of the Century peace plan with the Palestinians, and the need for a large strong right-wing party to put the brakes on Likud, to prevent the giving away of areas of Eretz Yisrael.

In an interview with Kol Berama Radio, Naftali Bennet stated, Netanyahu imposed the deal with Lapid upon us. Such an agreement will never occur again as we maintain excellent relations with the chareidi parties.

  1. “This begins with his voting for the expulsion of communities from Gush Katif”

What a sick misrepresentation of facts. It reminds me of that vote in the U.S. allegedly against anti-Semitism that the Republicans refused to support. Looks “bad” for the Republicans until the facts are known. The vote was originally called for by Republicans to condemn by name a certain Muslim Democrat for her anti-Semitic remarks. But the Democrats twisted the wording so that the wording omitted the name of the anti-Semite in question, and then placed a whole string of condemnations – including condemnation of Islamophobia – before a much truncated and barely noticeable mention of anti-Semitism.

Same thing here. Netanyahu was stalling for time (for national necessity reasons) during initial votes of the topic mentioned in this article, and also hopefully fool the government in question into relying on his vote for the final vote. The final vote is the only one that `counts`to pass the law. At the final vote he voted down the resolution (it passed anyway because the opposition had enough votes to pass it).

  2. “imposed the deal on us”…see, you can find excuses for your party but not for Netanyahu’s.
If I recall, it was your party that first gave the boost to Yesh Atid by joining forces with it.
That government, in which the hareidim were excluded, initiated all these measures against the hareidim.
Furthermore, the whole affair that brought the charges against Netanyahu was initiated by the law that you and Lapid formulated against the free newspaper, Yisrael HaYom, that’s where he got into trouble by trying to talk with the other newspaper’s owner.
Also, “excellent relations,” , Ms. Shaked is already campaigning on how a weak party will have no influence on the election of Chief Rabbi. Do you propose a choice, again, of the likes of Rav Stav? I’m sure the chareidim will just be thrilled with that.
And what about the leumi within the religious camp who are not so thrilled with the efforts of Bennett and Shaked to normalize the LGBT community, if your party, with the addition of the former New Right, (and taking all the major positions within the new Yamina) is so “in excellent relations” with the hardal and hareidi parties, why was there a need for a new leumi party that actually stood up for religious values?
You did it yourself, you hijacked the NRP to suit your agenda and now you come crying that another right wing party is taking away your votes?
Even the name of your party does not even reflect Religious Zionism.
If you want the right wing to be more right, it would have been better to work within the democratic process and get elected to a decent place on the Likud list, not just take over another party, and impose your agenda (and your chairwoman) on it.
I have never seen more chutzpah!
I, too, am sick of Netanyahu, but he’s been good, and he’s the best we can have for now and it’s essential that he get elected again.
