Pelephone, Israeli Mobile Phone Provider, Implements Sanctions

Beginning on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at 12:30PM, Israel’s Pelephone Company stopped providing customer service on the phone or at customer assistance centers. Warehouse employees are also implementing sanctions, so the various branches are going to be short on phones for sales as well as other equipment sold by Pelephone.

According to the Histadrut National Labor Federation, the strike surrounds company plans to dismiss employees and close units, as well as a breakdown in negotiations. The strike includes information systems, engineering, finance, human resources and marketing. It is being called a “warning strike” and the labor federation is threatening to take more serious actions.
