Saar Booed by Likud Central Committee: Primaries Canceled

Gideon Saar, who views himself as Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s successor as head of the Likud party, was greeted with boos when he arrived at a meeting of the party’s Central Committee, which numbers close to 4,000 people. The crowd shouted “boo” and “Bibi” as Saar attempted to address the central committee members.

When Netanyahu arrived on the stage, the party jingle was heard. During the gathering, the approximately 300 members who arrived voted to approve a motion to cancel primaries, effectively eliminating any chance Saar had of unseating Netanyahu ahead of elections for 23rd Knesset, which are likely to take place in March is agreement is not reached by Wednesday night to establish a national unity coalition government.

The forum also voted the Norwegian Law will be implemented following elections and the forming of a coalition.

  1. Most of the Central Committee are either retirement age or virtual retirement age
they will need a fresh leader to attract a younger Generation
    plus
More like boisterous typical Israeli grandstanding
if he would become the leader tomorrow Within less than a month they’ll be cheering him just as hard
