SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*PA sources report that the IAF early Thursday morning targeted a vehicle transporting terrorists near the ruins of the former community of Dugit.

*Two mortar shells fired from Gaza Thursday morning. No injuries.

*IDF soldiers involved in counter-terror operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron apprehended ten suspects. no injuries to soldiers were reported.

*Exchanges of gunfire between IDF and terrorists at Sufah and Erez Crossing to Gaza Thursday morning. No injuries reported.


POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*Large IDF Homefront Command exercise 7am-12pm Thursday morning.

*Rav Mordechai Eliyahu Shlita underwent a procedure on his head in Hadassah Hospital during the nighttime hours. He remains in serious condition.

*Officials in Prime Minister’s Office report chances of peace with Syria seem better that peace efforts with Hamas in Gaza.

*3 flights redirected from Ben-Gurion to Cyprus during the night due to heavy fog condition. Flights included one from Lufthansa and Swiss Air. It is unclear when the flights will take off from Cyprus to Tel Aviv.

*According to a Geocartographia Institute survey, 65% of Israelis oppose a total Israeli withdrawal from the Golan Heights.
