Following a statement by the Israel Airports Authority on Monday that Israel’s borders will be closed to non-citizens until September, a Maariv report on Monday said that it’s possible that the ban will be extended until after the Yamim Tovim.
The reason for the reported possible decision is the Health Ministry’s concern about a large number of visitors arriving in Israel for the Yamim Tovim just as Israel is facing an unprecedented health crisis as the number of coronavirus cases continues to rise and hospital wards are filling.
It should be assumed that in light of the announcement by yeshivas and seminaries that they were given permission to open for the coming year that students will be exempt from the ban of non-Israelis entering the country before the Yamim Tovim.
All students will of course have to enter quarantine for 14 days upon arrival to Israel.

Parents in the US are not hearing this from the yeshivos. They are being told not to book flights. As per the Mir Email “Flight – please DO NOT book a flight yet! Nothing is final yet and we may have group flights or very specific dates and routes you must fly, so please wait for the final instructions from the yeshiva”.

“To” or “Until”? I don’t know why we’re not doing the same. We have someone who just arrived from E”Y and didn’t take any covid test, davening in our shul. These people need their heads examined.
Riverdale- it very clearly states “to after” and then “until after”. It’s the same thing, once the word “after” was used as well.
These ppl., meaning who? I think the fact that America doesn’t require a 2 week quarantine after international travel is insane. I have to assume that’s who you meant. Because here in Israel it is.
israel should AIRLIFT all the americans who want to come right after Tisha B AV so that they can finish their quarantine before the Zman and then close it down
the last thing we want is anyone going to Shul for RH who might be sick
