Likud MK Mickey Eitan has decided to withdraw his personal bill intended to limit the authority of the Supreme Court to civilian life and immigration matters. Eitan realized that the ministerial committee dealing with legislative matters has decided not to support the preliminary reading of his bill, prompting him to withdraw it for the time being.
The government is expected to present a similar bill presented by Justice Minister Daniel Friedman. Eitan stated that if this bill is not presented for some reason, he will move ahead with his original bill as intended.
