Children Of Missionary “Kohen” Are Attending Religious School

The Facebook profile of the "Chareidi" family revealed as Christian missionaries.

The children of the American missionary “kohen” Michael Cohen, who lived with his family in the Chareidi community in French Hill in Jerusalem before his identity was discovered in April, are attending a religious school in the Jerusalem suburb of Mevaseret Tzion, B’Chadrei Chareidim reported.

The principal of the Gonenim mamlachti dati (state-religious) school, where the children are enrolled, told B’Chadrei that she discovered the true identity of the family only after receiving phone calls from concerned parents of children in the school.

The principal added that although she has made numerous efforts for months to have the children removed, nothing has been done, explaining that the school administration is not permitted to make an independent decision to expel students and the move can only be carried out by the Education Ministry.

“I appealed to the state-religious administration but so far nothing has been done,” she said. “Over the summer I repeatedly appealed to the state-religious education inspector but my hands are tied. I can’t do anything because it’s not within the realm of my responsibility.”

  1. The parents should then boycott and picket the school. If no one shows up to school but this goy, the media will pick up on it real quickly and action will be taken.

  2. Crazy world! In Israel you cant throw out kids from a frum school that are impersonating Jews without consent from the government and in Lakewood you cant get a frum nice Yiddishe girl into a high school because no school will follow the authority of the Rabbanim and there aren’t enough assertive Rabbanim to take matters into their hands! Sounds like a backwards world! Yemei Moshiach!

  3. Where are the chareidim
    Where are the chareidim
    Where are the chareidim
No one cares anymore about Yiddishkeit.
The old day there were gedolim who organized protests around the world.
Against forced autopsies, chillul shabbos and drafting of girls.
Today it’s all about politics power and money.
No one says a word to stores selling pork, tattoo shops, gay parades, and now missionaries in chareidi yeshivas.
When rabbi chaim kenefsky asked certain leaders to bring out a hundred thousand protesters against the first gay parade in Yerushalayim, they ignored him. They run for endorsements from him but won’t listen to him. Now we understand why we are as chareidim, lame ducks.

  4. this is what happens when a school takes money from an evil state. now they are being held hostage and Jewish children are suffering.

  5. If the school concentrates on Sheva Mitzvos Benei Noach, they will find their level of understanding and comfort in this, and either convert fully, or find the education unfortunately less than meaningful, being they are goyim and don’t really feel for Torah in Its intensity, and move elsewhere – probably to study allopathic medicine and join the current deviant medical cult.

  6. To SomeJewiKnow: This is a mamlachti school (religious zionists) – A chareidi school that takes money from the Government never would and never will listen to such mandates. So important to get your facts right before talking against shitos taught by most Gedolei Yisroel.

  7. Rats: At least have the derech eretz to spell Reb Chaim’s name correctly.
As a purely legal matter, I suspect that individual school administrators do not have the authority to expel students based on their assessment of their yiddeshkeit (or lack thereof). I suspect there are many cases of students enrolled in the government dati schools who are not yidden under halacha but have not been expelled. Here the facts are obviously different but it will require a decision by the Education Ministry.

  8. Why aren’t these evil people deported yet? Who is being paid off? They aren’t even Jewish so how can they be registered in a government religious school?

  9. Unfortunately the Israeli government tries to not arouse the ire of missionaries as they see Christians as the friends of Israel. Shame on the Israeli government for letting children of missionaries in their schools. Every parent in that school should transfer their kids to a different school. That will be the only thing that will work.

  10. This has nothing to do with “taking money”. It’s a public school. Therefore it is obviously under the education department’s control; how else could it be?

  11. Milhouse, the education department is run by the government and politics and influenced by $$$$ . It used to be that a non observant Jewish family couldn’t send their kids to a Jewish religious government school. But I guess now things have eroded so that non-Jewish missionaries are in government Jewish religiously schools. I think the parents and teachers in the school have got to organize A serious protest and get these evil missionaries out!
