In a rare incident, a ten-year-old resident of Bnei Brak suffered a stroke on Tuesday, Ynet reported.

The boy’s parents brought him to the Terem emergency clinic in Bnei Brak with symptoms of weakness and nausea.

Dr. Matthew Friedman, the head of Terem in Bnei Brak, said that doctors there found that the boy was suffering from profound weakness on his left side. He walked with a limp, had difficulty raising his left hand, and had trouble maintaining his balance when walking.

The doctors suspected he had suffered a stroke and urgently transferred him to Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit.

“Although this is a rare case, a child can have a stroke for various reasons,” Dr. Friedman said. “An artery blockage is very rare at this age.” He added that strokes are sometimes the result of an underlying autoimmune disease that had not yet been diagnosed.

The boy is reportedly doing well and is undergoing thorough medical tests to determine any underlying issues.

  1. There are reports of an increase in strokes in healthy people that took the corona vaccine. Was this boy vaccinated? Either way, I wish him a refuah shleimah bekarov!

  2. Wow, you commentators just couldn’t wait to sink your teeth into this story!
You know weird freak unusual medical illnesses have always occurred throughout history.
It means nothing unless it can be shown to be an increase in a given particular population. Sheesh!

  3. Rosen, covid (illlness, not vaccine) itself seems to increase chances of stroke 2x including in younger patients. Given recent variants, many people in crowded/uncareful communities might be getting it several times. So, count that …

See January 2022 University of Utah article “COVID-19 INCREASING STROKE RISKS IN PEOPLE OF ALL AGES”

  4. a recent paper below says that fully vaccinated people have LOWER incidence of stroke.
By group (these numbers are not necessarily statistically reliable due to small numbers):
older people and women especially lower numbers
males have less than 5% higher rate

  5. The number of sudden deaths and strokes have skyrocketed in the last 18 months. If there is even a tiny possibility that this is being caused by the cOvid vaccine, how is it that doctors and Rabbonim aren’t speaking out? Covid has mutated into a mild virus that can be managed efficiently. Pushing a vaccine that lacks efficacy and may very well be causing health problems is tantamount to murder. If you can ask vaccine status in regard to employment and entry into a restaurant, u should b able to ask when unusual health episodes occur as well.

  6. Corona virus itself has been tied to a noticable increase of vascular illness.
The covid vaccine, not so much.

  7. אלו ואלו דברי א-לוקים חיים
The actual spike protein whether inhaled or injected “can be” a chaos grenade for the human body. See latest AHA release. Time will tell.

  8. Hey always ask questions: forget studies , use your common sense. Would a shot commonly nicknamed “the clot shot” lower or raise stroke risk
Would be helpful for the community to know if this boy with a rare stroke did indeed get vaccinated
Then it wouldn’t be rare and it wouldn’t be surprising

  9. The spike protein in Covid causes all sorts of issues. That is true. But PLEASE don’t underestimate the spike protein and new MRNA technology in this shot. The rate of sudden deaths is incredibly high and almost all of those deaths are seen in vaccinated people. By blaming everything on the virus and not allowing the vaccine to be brought into the discussion, we are’s inadvertently creating a distrust in science, doctors and medicine. The truth, even if it’s hard to process must be spoken about: and mistakes must be admitted. This vaccine is a failed attempt at immunity at best but may go down as the greatest meditated evil as well. Time will tell.

  10. sariray, good question. Let’s use common sense:
    1) what is more dangerous
    a) vaccine given at a careful testes dosage that activates immune response OR
    b) a virus that can come in a bigger dose, similarly activate immune response AND also damage vital organs AND (already shown) stay in some organs for months after that.

    2) at this point and, especially, places where virus ran amok – such as dense Israeli apartment buildings and large-class school and certain attitude – many people had the virus more than once, whether they had or had not vaccine. So, it would be difficult to find people who had vaccine but not virus.

    3) several papers I found are small and are suggestive but not a final word in any way. I would suggest looking at countries with centralized patient systems that can compute statistics over large number of patients, such as UK and … Israel. For one, whenever there were suspicions of some problems, they were publicized. Hard to imagine that such results will be kept under wraps in multiple countries for a long time.
