Condition Of Dovid Stern, Shot In Huwara, Improves, Car Had 23 Bullet Holes

The condition of Dovid Stern, a former US Marine who was shot in a terror attack in Huwara on Sunday, has improved, a statement from Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikvah on Monday morning stated.

Stern is now fully conscious and is breathing on his own.

Dovid’s wife, Rochel, who was with her husband in the car but fortunately was not shot, spoke with Kan News about those terrible moments.

“I didn’t want to see my husband murdered,” she said. “My husband injured the terrorist who fled and threw his gun on the ground. There were Arabs all around us, no one came to help.”

Following the attack, numerous videos of Arabs in Huwara and other Arab towns celebrating the attack were posted online.

A fundraiser was launched to assist the Stern family as Dovid still faces a long period of recovery and will be unable to work for some time.
