Moshe Ben-Porat, Hyd, was brought to kevurah in Tiveria earlier this week, ten days after being murdered by heinous Hamas terrorists on Simchas Torah in the southern city of Ofakim.
Ben-Porat, a kashrus mashgiach and resident of Tiveria in his 60s, was spending Yom Tov near his daughter in Ofakim in order to serve as the sandak for his newborn grandson. Instead, he was murdered by the heinous terrorists inside the apartment he was staying at.
Hundreds attended the levaya and the tzaddik HaGaon HaRav Dov Kook insisted on reciting the Kaddish himself as the niftar left four daughters but no sons.
After reciting Kaddish, HaRav Kook, began singing the niggun על זה היה דוה לבנו על אלה חשכו .עינינו, על הר ציון ששמם שועלים הלכו בו

why did it take 10 days for him to be buried ur not supposed to delay burial even for a day as far as i know that or are u

Some Jewish blogs reported days ago that the delay was to ensure no agunos, CH”V, as they need to know who the niftar was before they could bury him.
@Leah, because the funeral homes are overcrowded after the massacre.
Also, I think we need to stop calling them Hamas terrorists and start calling them Palestinian terrosists. It wasn’t even only Hamas who went outside of gaza on the rampage, other groups as well as unaffiliated Arabs have each taken their deadly toll. Second, we must resist the narrative that Palestinians are these noble suffering people, while Hamas are misguided Palestinians. Almost every Arab in Gaza supports Hamas.
