The Israel Defense Forces have reported the successful interception of a cruise missile over the Red Sea, near the southernmost city of Eilat, Wednesday afternoon. It was reportedly shot down by an Israeli Fighter Jet.

It is suspected that the missile was launched by the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen.

Importantly, the IDF has confirmed that the missile did not breach Israeli airspace.
