מי כעמך ישראל: Thousands Attend Levaya Of Childless Holocaust Survivor

צילום: אבי אלקובי

Esther Greizer, z’l, a 95-year-old Holocaust survivor from Hungary who passed away overnight Sunday, on Yom HaShoah, was unable to have children after she endured medical experiments as a child in Auschwitz.

Her great-nephew, Yochai Gringlick, said that despite her pain, she married and was a loving and giving person and treated him and his siblings as her grandchildren. He put out a call on social media for people to attend her levaya, especially since there would be no shiva as her husband and siblings had already passed away.

So many people heeded his call and attended the levaya in Haifa on Monday afternoon that many people couldn’t even enter the funeral hall.

Among the participants were many IDF soldiers as well as at least one bereaved father.

  1. Re. The headline: There is simply no need to put down other ethnicities just because we want to talk about good deeds that a group of Yidden did. We need to show Hkb”h that we teach our children to have sincere caring and respect for all decent human beings.
Then we can hope that Hkbh, מדה כנגד מדה will finally stop instigating antisemitism towards us.

There is no need to refer to invented Zionist idolatrous (same thing) “holidays”. “Yom HaShoah” is not anything of relevance to the Yeshiva World, so it should not be mentioned, as doing so promotes Zionist idolatry.

  3. @ ader – But are we not, indeed, different?

But we have taken it much to far. I’m referring to not caring and not having any Sincere empathy for their well-being, as we should have for our fellow Human Being. Just go listen to the conversation our kids have on the school bus.
Hashem should just have Rachmonus, things are not looking good.
