The body of an Israeli woman reported in her 70s was found in Sinai on Wednesday morning, leading officials to fear she may have been the subject of a terror attack. Preliminary reports from the area stated the body exhibited signs of violence.
 
Foreign Ministry officials in Israel were in contact with consular officials in Cairo to investigate the accuracy of the report, seeking to determine the details in the suspected terror incident.
 
It is now being reported that it appears the woman slipped and fell in her hotel room. The Israeli media reports her body is currently in a hospital in Nuweiba. Additional information will be reported when confirmed details are available.
 
The incident is being reported as Israel’s Counter-Terrorism Bureau continues to warn Israelis and Jews around the world of Hizbullah’s plans to abduct hostages. The terror warnings are especially potent for the Sinai area.
