Cabinet Approves Funding of Efforts from MIA/POW Families

The cabinet on Sunday gave formal approval of a bill that will permit the government to fund efforts of families of IDF soldiers listed as �missing in action� and �prisoner of war�, intended to facilitate their efforts on behalf of their loved ones.

The funds will be allocated by a special committee, which will be headed by the head of the Defense Ministry�s political-security division, Amos Gilad. Funding will be allocated towards funding the families� efforts towards obtaining the release of their loved ones, such as Gilad Shalit, including trips abroad and other efforts.
