The family of freed hostage Yosef Chaim Ohana is preparing this morning, along with other families, to welcome their son home after two long years in Hamas captivity.

His father shared a touching detail, saying that he had purchased arba minim not only for himself, but also for his son, praying that Yosef would merit to recite the bracha on them — a hope that, baruch Hashem, will soon come true.

“I asked Hashem that he should merit to bless on the arba minim,” the father told relatives at the Re’im absorption center. “And baruch Hashem, Hashem heard my prayer — the arba minim are waiting for him here. As soon as he arrives, we’ll record him making the bracha. It’s very emotional — we can’t believe it.”

Earlier, he told Galatz Radio about the family’s feelings: “There were many moments of despair during these two years, it was extremely difficult, but the support we received helped us survive day after day. My son is being born again today,” he said.
