SECURITY/DEFENSE:
•    Today, Wednesday, is day 127 of the virtual Gaza ceasefire.

•    Today is Gilad Shalit’s 850th day in Hamas captivity.

•    Two explosive devices were hurled at IDF soldiers operating in the Jordan Valley area on Tuesday night. No injuries were reported.

•    Firebombs and rocks were thrown at Israeli vehicles traveling in Shomron near Yakir HaKetana Junction. No injuries were reported.

•    Three suspicious Arabs were detected near Shaked in the Southern Chevron Hills district on motzei yomtov. Soldiers fired at them in compliance with protocol intended to apprehend such suspects. One of the three was wounded and transported to a hospital in a Red Crescent ambulance.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:
•    3 Israelis are hospitalized in Israel on Wednesday morning, all victims of different hit-and-run accidents. They are listed in moderate to critical condition.

•    PA (Palestinian Authority) General Intelligence Service Chief Tawfik Tirawi will be stepping down next month, PA sources report.

•    Kadima officials less optimistic about Shas joining the new coalition government.
