Members of the Peleg Yerushalmi faction, affiliated with the community of Rav Tzvi Friedman, are demonstrating Monday on Route 4 near Bnei Brak, causing severe traffic congestion throughout the area.
Israel Police stated that the demonstration has been declared illegal, as protesters are blocking the roadway and creating significant disruptions to traffic. Large police forces are on the scene working to restore order and redirect drivers to alternate routes.
According to police updates, Route 4 has been completely closed to traffic in both directions from the Aluf Sadeh Interchange to the Em HaMoshavos Interchange. In addition, traffic traveling southbound from Em HaMoshavos is being diverted toward Petach Tikva. Jabotinsky Street in Bnei Brak has also been closed in the direction of Petach Tikva. Officers from the National Traffic Police are operating at the scene and adjusting traffic flow as developments unfold.
Police are urging the public to avoid the area, use alternative routes, and stay updated through traffic reports. Authorities reiterated that while the right to protest is recognized in a democratic state, Israel Police will not tolerate disturbances of public order, road blockages, or any actions that endanger public safety or restrict freedom of movement.

Something does not make sense. In the first video, you show people blocking the highway, and the police do absolutely nothing. What happened in the second video that prompted police to finally stick up for the motorists? Were the females also blocking traffic, or did the police pull them off a sidewalk just for fun?
If anyone has a suitable option for how to properly deal with protesters blocking the street, I think we should arrange a meeting with the police, and you can give your suggestions. Just calling the “Zionists Nazi pigs” is not effective.
I am curious to know how all the people here saying nagative things about the police would feel if they were the ones stuck in a car on a blocked highway.
Why were they crossing the street in the MIDDLE of an active protest, and also NOT at a crosswalk?!?!
I like ragging on the Israeli cops as much as the next guy, but… these women have themselves to blame – it takes a special kind of idiot to cross the street like that. From the cops’ perspective, they have no reason to assume that anyone randomly in middle of the street at that time (not at a crosswalk, and right in middle of the action) is an innocent little sheifelah – even if they’re female.
And now, I just watched the video again… Turns out they weren’t even crossing at all! They were just chilling at the curb, watching the action from up-close – they wanted front-row seats. Spoiler alert: if you don’t want to get caught up in the police dragnet, stay the heck away from the action! If you’re gonna watch just for hock purposes, then at least do it from a safe distance!

1. I don’t see any constructive purpose of ywn sharing this, and
2. I don’t understand how shutting down route 6 and inconveniencing thousands of mostly irreligious drivers is going to help this issue, other than make them hate us even more.
