SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*Today, Thursday, is day 149 of the virtual Gaza ceasefire.

*Today is Gilad Shalit’s 873rd day in Hamas captivity.

*Shortly before 8:00am, five mortar Shells landed in the Eshkol Regional Council. There were no reports of injuries.

*At least two rockets landed in southern Israel during the night resulting in damage. No injuries were reported.

*IDF soldiers involved in counter-terror operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron apprehended five suspects.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*Yediot Achronot: 2,500 people have lost their jobs nationwide in the last two week.

*55th yahrzeit of HaRav Avraham Yeshayahu Korelitz, the Chazon Ish. Thousands are expected to visit the kever in Bnei Brak.

*Sporadic thundershowers expected throughout Israel on Thursday, tapering off towards late afternoon/evening.

*Israel has decided to continue permitting fuel deliveries to Gaza.

*A Jewish man in his 50s was attacked by three assailants in Prague on Tuesday. The attackers are in custody. The extent of the victim’s injuries are not known.

*MK Ophir Pines is calling on party leader Ehud Barak to guarantee he will not enter into a government led by Binyamin Netanyahu.
