Tzeirei Chabad in Eretz Yisrael has decided to hold a major event marking the Shloshim for the Kedoshei Mumbai. Organizers are looking for a location that will be able to accommodate the thousands who are expected to take part, but ruled out Nokia Stadium in Tel Aviv, wishing to find a venue more suitable to the chareidi public.

The decision was made to use the industrial area of Jerusalem’s Har Chotzvim High Tech Park, capable of holding many participants and accessible by public transportation. Chabad will be renting the tent used for the bar mitzvah of the Belze Rebbe’s grandson, capable of holding some 15,000 people.

Preparation will include establishing a broadcast system capable of airing the event outside of the tent in the event the crowd is larger than anticipated. Preparations are also addressing the possibility of stormy weather.

At present, a number of Gedolei Yisrael have indicated their willingness to participate, including (UNCONFIRMED AT THIS TIME); the Gerre Rebbe Shlita, The GAVAD of the Eida Chareidis Rav Yitzchok Tuvia Weiss Shlita, the Toldos Avraham Yitzchak Rebbe Shlita, HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Halevy Wosner Shlita, and Rav Yitzchak Dovid Grossman Shlita. There are also unconfirmed reports that HaGaon HaRav Elyashiv Shlita may participate despite his weakened condition since the event is being held relatively close to the Rav’s home.
