If you are one of many Israelis who during recent weeks received a telephone call from someone from the IDF Homefront Command, you may have been duped. It appears there are people posing as representatives of the Homefront Command and picking up gas mask protection kits from homes, most likely due to their value. They are not from the IDF, with Homefront Command officials explaining they ceased processing the gas masks in July 2008.

IDF officials are calling on the general public not to cooperate with anyone telephoning or and claiming to represent gas mask pick up officials.
