7:00PM Update from Eretz Yisrael


According to foreign news agencies, IDF tanks are operating in Gaza. The reports are NOT confirmed by any official Israeli source at this time.
 
**Two Israelis were lightly injured in rock-throwing attacks during the Tuesday evening rush hour on the Gush Etzion-Chevron Road near Bet Omer.
 
**Arabs hurled rocks at Israelis during the evening rush hour south of Shechem in Shomron. No injuries are reported but there are reports of damage.
 
**A 17-year-old resident of the Jerusalem Arab village of Issawiya was indicted on Tuesday for a firebomb attack against Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital during the Gaza War. The suspect faces numerous charges including assaulting a police officer and the manufacture of weapons.
 
**IDF: Regarding PA reports that a Khan Yunis man was injured in an IAF attack, the injured male was involved in the Tuesday morning fatal bombing attack against IDF soldiers near Kissufim.
 
**In keeping with his known anti-Israel/Semitic policies, UN General Assembly President Miguel d’Escoto Brockmann did not attend International Holocaust Day service in the international body.
 
**Mr. Noam Shalit is now meeting in Paris with French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
 
**No decision has been announced regarding a planned Israeli response to Tuesday’s Hamas terror attacks following a high-level consultation between DM Barak and senior officials.
 
**US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during a Washington press conference defended Israel’s right to defend herself against rocket attacks, expressing sorrow over the actions of the Hamas administration in Gaza.
