Demonstrators affiliated with the youth faction of the left-wing Meretz Party on Monday protested outside the Herzliya Conference as Yisrael Beitenu chairman Avigdor Lieberman addressed the forum.

The demonstrators carried signs with the images of Yoerg Haider of Austria and John Marie La-Pen of France, right-wing fascist extremists, comparing Lieberman to them.

A leader of the group, Uri Zaki, expressed �sorrow� that the Herzliya Conference gives legitimacy and a forum to such a person. �We hope the Israeli voters will not make the mistake and vote for him, a racist.�
