Jew-Hating Ahmadinejad Does Not Disappoint at Durban

cl.jpgIt did not take too long for Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to begin lashing out at Israel as Jerusalem expected, prompting dozens of participants in the second UN Durban Conference to walk out of the hall.

While 23 nations opted to leave the assembly, including Jordan, France, Canada, UK, Finland, and other representatives of the European Union, it should not come as a surprise that UN Director General Bank ki-Moon remained seated, all too eager to hear the words of his colleague from Iran. Ki-Moon has made his anti-Israel sentiments all too clear following Operation Cast Lead. The UN leader called the Duban-2 Conference “carefully balanced,” adding “I deeply regret that some have chosen to stand aside. I hope they will not do so for long”.

As Israel is about to mark another Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Iranian leader used the international forum to label Jerusalem a “racist government”, stating Zionism “personifies racism”.

Ahmadinejad accused Israel of being the “most cruel and racist regime” and making “an entire nation homeless under the pretext of Jewish suffering … in order to establish a totally racist government.”

He proceeded to lash out at the United States for its assault in Afghanistan, but his comments did not pass without protest.

A number of participants wearing brightly colored wigs began shouting, calling him a “racist” before they were escorted out of the assembly. One protester threw a soft red object at the podium, while others seated in the balcony jeered and heckled the Iranian president during the speech.

  1. He wants to be jeered. The best reaction is no reaction. I would have loved to see an entirely silent hall upon the completion of his speech; silent becuase either everyone walked out, or because those who remained could care less about what he has to say.

  2. “Jew-Hating Ahmedinejad Does Not Disappoint in Durban” is the title of this article.

Last time I checked, he was in Geneve (Geneva).

Did he travel to Durban after Geneva?

  3. ‘U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon has condemned Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for his tirade against Israel during a global racism conference. Ban says the Iranian leader used his speech “to accuse, divide and even incite,” directly opposing the aim of the meeting.’
    From the Associated Press.

  4. #4: The great global statesman Mr. Moon also decried all the diplomats who walked out on Mr. Achmadinnerjacket.

To quote another great global statesman, “can’t we all just get along?”

Talk about “pnei hdor kpnei hakelev!!” What a bunch of idiots!
