Sanctions in Clalit-Affiliated Hospitals Throughout Israel

Labor leaders have announced that beginning on Thursday (April 30), sanctions will begin in Kupat Cholim Clalit-affiliated hospitals nationwide in response to the breakdown in negotiations. Senior labor representative Prosper Ben-Chamu explained that due to the breakdown in talks with representatives of hospital support staff, the sanctions are the only alternative left to workers.

Clalit officials are expressing harsh criticism over the announced plans to disrupt the running of many hospitals “during these extremely difficult economic times”.

Hospitals that will be impacted by the union sanctions include Rebecca Ziff (Tzfas), Carmel (Haifa), Emek (Afula), Schneider (Petach Tikvah), Yosef-Tal (Eilat), Soroka (Beersheva), Hertzfeld (Gadera), Meir (Kfar Saba), Levenstein (Kfar Saba) and Kaplan (Rechovot).

  1. Lewinstein is in Raanana, not in Kfar Saba. Meir is in Kfar Saba. Lewinstein is a specialized rehabilitation hospital, not a general hospital.

Also, regarding Petach Tikvah, I assume that you mean Rabin/Schneider. Schneider is the children’s hospital; Rabin is the main hospital.
