Media reports from Lebanon on Sunday indicated that Hizbullah forces in southern Lebanon were instructed to move to a heightened alert status in response to Israel’s start of Turning Point 3, the unprecedented five-day nationwide preparedness exercise that involved all emergency agencies in the country, all security and defense forces, and civilians.

The exercise includes many unthinkable scenarios, including simulated missile attacks, non-conventional warfare attacks, Arab terror inside Israel and coping with the spread of a major disease.

Senior officials continue to release messages of calm, explaining the nationwide event was planned a long time in advance and is not to be interpreted as the result of any current regional realities or concerns.
