President Shimon Peres has approved wiping the criminal slate clean for 59 opponents of the government�s 2005 Disengagement Plan providing that those include in the request do not have any other criminal record.

The Land of Israel Forum applauded the president�s decision, but called it too little too late, requesting the president also address many opponents of the expulsion whose lives have been ruined as a result of the legal process taking place against them resulting from criminal charges.
