It is not a proud day for the municipality of Bet Shemesh, with the city’s deputy legal counsel, Mickey Gestrid in police custody, Kol Chareidi reports.

The incident that landed the lawyer in jail occurred during a heated council debate surrounding the construction of Bet Shemesh Gimmel, during which Councilman Moti Cohen of the Ohr Acher (Another Light) party verbally attacked Gestrid, which prompted him to throw a cup of coffee in the councilman’s face.
