Another Swine Flu Death in Eretz Yisrael


sfl1.jpgA 12-year-old girl has died of swine flu after she was treated and released from the hospital, then developing complications and re-admitted to Schneider Children’s Hospital in Petach Tikvah.

The girl, a resident of Bnei Brak, has become the fourth victim of the illness. She was released from Schneider after making a full recovery, but then began exhibiting signs of the illness and was re-admitted. Doctors point out that she suffered from a chronic medical known as Rett Syndrome, compromising her ability to fight off the flu. Her system succumbed to the flu and she was niftar in the hospital on Wednesday.

Health Ministry officials add that some 20,000 Israelis have been infected with swine flu, with most cases being light Baruch Hashem. While vaccinations are being developed, about 920 Israelis a week are being diagnosed with the illness. Heaviest hit areas include Nahariya, Netanya, Modi’in and Beit Shemesh.

  1. A plague is the most obvious sign of Hashem’s displeasure there can be.

    We must all do tshuvah, each one at his level.
